Repair & Modification Center

           One of B&B's distinguishing traits, is it's ability to repair and modify both AC and DC motors from a variety of manufacturers. B&B is proud to be an AUTHORIZED Bodine motor repair and modification center. The chart shown below, gives you and idea of the modification possibilities. Call B&B whenever you have a question about the repairability of any motor. Note: B&B can, in most cases, repair and refurbish the now obsolete Bodine N Series.

Shaft Position Options
On all Bodine Right Angle Gearmotors
In frames 10R, 11R, 12R, 12RH, 33R, 34RH, 34RJ, 53R, 54RL and 55RH, the following shall apply:
  1. On all frames, position #1 is standard.
  2. On frames 10R, 11R, 12R, 12RG, 12RH, 33R, 34RH, 53R, 54R, 2nd 3rd and 4th positions.
  3. 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th positions on frames 12RH, 33R, 34RH and 54R.
  4. 7th position on 54RL.
  5. 7th position on 33RJ.
  6. 7th position on 55RH.
  7. 2nd or 6th position on 54RL.
  8. 3rd or 5th position on 54RL.
  9. 4th or 8th position on 54RL.
  10. 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th positions on frame 12RG.
  11. 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th positions on frame 12R. For double reduction frames.

  1. Motor Shafts
    - Special lengths
    - Double ended
    - Keyways
    - Hollow shafts
    - Special materials; i.e. stainless steel
  2. Special Voltages and/or Frequencies
    - 230V, 50Hz
    - 230V, 60Hz
    - 230V / 460V, 50Hz
    - 230V / 460V, 60Hz
  3. Protective Enclosures
    - Epoxy protected windings
    - Water resistant totally enclosed
    - Oil resistant motors and cables
  4. Special lead wire and cable material, including special length.
  5. Special lubrications for greasing, and bearings for use in extreme high or low temperatures and humid or caustic environments.
  6. Special moutning configurations, i.e. flange, face or resilient mounting.
  7. Precision balance to .0001 T.I.R. to eliminate noise and vibration
  8. Mounting of electro-magnetic brakes to motors such as the "Fail Safe" variety.
  9. Overload protection.
  10. Modifications as per print.
  11. Capacitor mounted on motor to specification.
  12. Tach mounting on motor to specification: 2.6V KRPM, 7.0V KRPM.
